South Humarock Civic Association

Thank you to all the SHCA volunteers who made the 2026 Humarock Horribles Parade great including, but not limited to:

Thank you to our judges Rich & Bella T, Greg A, Marilyn N and judge-wrangler Rick W. Thank you to our hardy & tireless walking donation-collectors who did an incredible job! Thank you to everyone who took the time and put energy and creativity into making some really fantastic floats! Thank you to the Scituate police for keeping us all in line in more ways than one, to the Scituate Fire Dept Station 4, Marshfield police and the Scituate DPW.  Planners, organizers, permit-obtainers, judges, donation collectors, walkers, dancers, hot dog cookers, poster-makers, hot dog distributors, musicians, float builders, candy throwers, boosters, watchers, banner-carriers, public safety officers, cleaner-uppers.  We thank you all! 

Thank you to all the SHCA members, all the amazing teachers who share their specific gifts/knowledge with members and nonmembers, all the people who spend hours and energy trying to make every event special for the adults & kids of Humarock, all the people who spend hours & energy helping to keep the clubhouse & environs shipshape and comfortable. The parade may get the most attention, but we know there are tens of people out there who spend their entire summer supporting this community, and hundreds more who support us in any way that they can. We see you, we appreciate you, we couldn't do it without you!

The signature Humarock event, organized  and held annually on Labor Day weekend by the South Humarock Civic Association.

9/5/2026 at 1PM, to join the parade at the beginning, we meet at 4th Cliff.

To enter the parade midway, join at the fire station at approximately 1:30PM.

For those of us who may not feel comfortable with regular/floor yoga because of balance, circulation or strength issues.  Michelle Gregory teaches chair yoga Tuesdays and Thursdays at 945AM. Come and check it out.  $10.

Every Monday at 7 PM, open to all fry large and small.  Come for the hokey-pokey, stay for the freeze dances!  We are always looking for helpers, to keep the Elmo/Barney/BabyShark legends alive!
